Sustainable Marketing, Brand Image, and Costumer Loyalty: A Literature Review

Muhammad Sabih Ziyadatullah

Jakarta Global University

Sustainable marketing has gained attention as firms integrate environmental, social, and economic considerations into their marketing strategies, yet the mechanism through which it builds customer loyalty remains unclear. This study synthesizes evidence on the relationships between sustainable marketing, brand image, and customer loyalty, with particular emphasis on the mediating role of brand image. A structured literature review was conducted using Google Scholar, and nine studies published between 2021 and 2026 in English or Indonesian were included, comprising quantitative studies, one qualitative study, and two systematic reviews. Eight of the nine studies report a positive link between sustainable or green marketing and brand or company image. Evidence on customer loyalty is more limited, as only a few studies test loyalty directly, and three quantitative studies support a mediating role of brand image, including partial mediation in the Indonesian fashion context. Customer satisfaction and corporate social responsibility appear as moderators. The studies differ in industry, country, outcome variable, and measurement, which limits direct comparison. This review identifies gaps for future research, particularly the need for integrated models that test brand image as a mediator of customer loyalty across industries and markets. The findings may inform sustainability-oriented marketing strategies and provide a foundation for future empirical research..

The Effect of Training and Motivation on the Competency of Training Alumni at the Manpower Office of Depok City

Amelia Sahara

Jakarta Global University

This research investigates the individual and combined impacts of training and motivation on the competencies of job training participants at the Manpower Office of Depok City. Employing a quantitative methodology, primary data were collected through structured questionnaires administered to eligible alumni. The examined variables comprise training as the first independent variable (X1), motivation as the second independent variable (X2), and alumni competency as the dependent variable (Y). Data evaluation procedures involved validity, reliability, and classical assumption evaluations, followed by multiple linear regression tests including partial (t-test), simultaneous (F-test), and coefficient of determination analyses. The empirical findings demonstrate that training exerts a positive and statistically significant partial influence on competency, indicating that enhanced instructional quality directly improves skill and knowledge proficiency. Similarly, motivation shows a positive and significant partial impact, highlighting how personal drive and professional goals reinforce skill internalization. Furthermore, training and motivation simultaneously provide a positive and substantial effect on competency, proving that combining effective human resource development initiatives with strong participant engagement is vital for producing competitive workforce-ready graduates.

Container-Based Network Monitoring Using Prometheus, Grafana, and SNMP Exporter in an Industrial Network

Sangkot Wahyu Pulungan

Universitas Bung Hatta

Network monitoring is essential for maintaining the availability and operational visibility of industrial network infrastructure. This study presents the implementation of a container-based network monitoring system using Prometheus, Grafana, and SNMP Exporter at PT Semen Padang. The system was deployed using Docker Compose in an Ubuntu-based server environment. SNMP Exporter collected metrics from SNMP-enabled network switches, Prometheus collected and stored the metrics, and Grafana visualized the results through summary and device-detail dashboards. The monitoring parameters included device availability, uptime, interface status, incoming and outgoing traffic, cumulative traffic, and per-interface traffic utilization. Functional testing covered seven network switches. Detailed traffic observations were recorded at seven time points for the switch SP_GUSP-FL.II-PROCUREMENT.1. Incoming traffic reached a maximum of 1.12 MB/s, while outgoing traffic reached a maximum of 1.10 MB/s. At 16:00, the recorded cumulative incoming and outgoing traffic values were 610 MB and 598 MB, respectively. Device uptime remained at 71 days during the observation period. The results demonstrate that the implemented system could present the configured monitoring metrics through a centralized dashboard. However, the study did not quantitatively evaluate monitoring latency, troubleshooting time, or performance differences compared with the existing monitoring platform. The system therefore provides an additional monitoring option for observing switch status and traffic behavior.

The Effect of Customer Engagement on Purchase Decisions Through Purchase Intention (A Case Study of Awgorgeousin Brand)

Najwa Sabrina S.M

Jakarta Global University

This study aims to analyze the effect of customer engagement on purchase decisions through purchase intention at Brand Awgorgeousin. This research employed a quantitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents who had previously viewed or interacted with Brand Awgorgeousin, such as visiting its social media accounts, following, liking, commenting, sharing, or saving the brand's content. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with an incidental sampling method. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS 4.1 software with the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. The analysis consisted of measurement model (outer model) testing to assess the validity and reliability of the research instrument, followed by structural model (inner model) testing to examine the relationships among variables and test the proposed hypotheses. The results indicate that customer engagement has a significant effect on purchase intention, purchase intention has a significant effect on purchase decisions, and customer engagement has a significant effect on purchase decisions through purchase intention as a mediating variable. The findings suggest that a higher level of customer engagement with Brand Awgorgeousin leads to stronger purchase intention, which ultimately encourages consumers to make purchase decisions.

FORMULATION AND PHYSICAL EVALUATION OF BASIL (Ocimum basilicum L.) LEAF EXTRACT SHEET MASK WITH XANTHAN GUM VARIATIONS

Shari Bella Shapira

Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan Bogor Husada

Basil leaves (Ocimum basilicum L.) contain flavonoids that have potential as functional ingredients in cosmetics due to their antioxidant and antibacterial properties. This study aimed to develop formulations and evaluate the effect of varying xanthan gum concentrations on the physical properties of basil leaf extract sheet masks. This study was a laboratory experiment. Basil leaf extract (Ocimum basilicum L.) sheet mask formulations were prepared with varying concentrations of xanthan gum at 0.1% (F1), 0.3% (F2), and 0.9% (F3). The basil leaf extract was obtained through maceration using 96% ethanol, followed by physical evaluations including organoleptic testing, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, absorbency, and adhesion. The results showed that all formulations met the criteria for organoleptic evaluation, homogeneity, and pH in accordance with regulations for topical products. Based on the evaluation of physical characteristics, Formula 2 with a xanthan gum concentration of 0.3% exhibited the best physical characteristics compared to the other formulations. Variations in xanthan gum concentration had a significant effect (p < 0.05) on the physical characteristics of the basil leaf extract sheet mask formulations, including organoleptic properties, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, absorbency, and adhesion. This effect was demonstrated by changes in physical characteristics as the xanthan gum concentration increased.

Formulation and Physical Evaluation of Manihot esculenta Crantz Ethyl Acetate Fraction Lip Balm with Varying Waxes Concentration

Syifa Intan Ratiani

Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan Bogor Husada

Cassava leaves (Manihot esculenta Crantz) contain flavonoids and antioxidant compounds with potential applications in lip cosmetic formulations. This study aimed to determine the effect of varying concentrations of beeswax and carnauba wax on the physical characteristics of lip balm containing the ethyl acetate fraction of cassava leaves and to identify the optimum formulation. Cassava leaves were extracted by maceration using 96% ethanol and subsequently fractionated with ethyl acetate. The ethyl acetate fraction was formulated into three lip balm preparations with varying concentrations of beeswax and carnauba wax: F1 (10% beeswax and 5% carnauba wax), F2 (15% beeswax and 10% carnauba wax), and F3 (20% beeswax and 15% carnauba wax). The preparations were evaluated for organoleptic properties, homogeneity, pH, application performance, adhesiveness, and spreadability. Data were analyzed using Kruskal– Wallis and Chi-square tests. The results showed that all formulations were homogeneous semi-solids with a characteristic coffee aroma and good ease of application. The preparations exhibited pH values ranging from 5.0 to 6.8, spreadability from 4.6 to 5.0 cm, and adhesiveness from 0.08 to 2.99 seconds. Statistical analysis indicated that variations in beeswax and carnauba wax concentrations did not significantly affect the physical characteristics of the formulations ($p > 0.05$). Based on overall physical performance and descriptive evaluation, F3 demonstrated the most favorable physical traits, particularly due to its superior adhesiveness while maintaining desirable spreadability
